Obscure Box
What regular time?
Channel 7's promise that the popular award winning drama All Saints will now be at the "regular time" of 8.30pm was - ironically enough - seven minutes late last night.
The program continues to suffer at the tail end of talent shows.
It used to be Dancing With The Stars that pushed the medical drama later in the schedules with the ramblings of Darryl Somers meaning the program rarely started at the allotted 9.30pm time.
Now All Saints follows Australia's Got Talent.
But that show's recorded, unlike Dancing With The Stars which was live, so I'm puzzled as to why a recorded show should over-run.
Odd that.
One theory is that the TV networks let their programs over-run on purpose to stop you from switching channels.
If Australia's Got Talent had finished bang on 8.30pm then you might have been tempted to tune in to Channel 9's Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares which is proving quite a hit in the ratings.
Channel 9 can't seem to get enough Gordon Ramsay in the schedule.
After last night's outing of the expletive UK chef he's back tonight at 9.30pm for the launch of Hell's Kitchen then on again tomorrow night for another outing at 8.30pm of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.
